Seating Options

We offer various types of seating on our excursions. Some excursions offer selectable types of seating by class, while others offer open seating where many of these options are available first come first serve.

Individual Seats

Featuring padded seats and backs, our Standard Coach seating consists of walkover seats that can be arranged in either forward facing, or reverse facing configurations. Standard Coach seat benches are designed for 2 passengers sitting side by side. These seats are equipped in our DL&W Commuter Cars 101, 102, and 103.

Plush, reclinable seating. Our Premium Coach seats are the most comfortable seats we offer. These seats are eqipped in our Norfolk and Western car 4701

Filling out our Norfolk and Western 4701 is our Lounge Seats. Casual around the room seating is perfect for families or individuals requiring extra leg room.

Table Seating

Upgraded seating for our DL&W commuter cars is our Coach Tables. Every third seat is replaced with a table, offering ample leg room, and plenty of room for food and activities. A family favorite, especially at Christmas time. These tables are sold as a 4-person option, meaning your reservation for a single table includes tickets for up to 4 passengers.

Offered as a 2-person and a 4-person table option, our Norfolk and Western Cafe Car 1001 offers tables with banquet style chairs, large windows, and convenient access to our Leatherstocking Cafe, which offers chips, soda, water, and other light refreshments when open. Each table is sold as a package. Reservations for a 2-person tables include tickets for up to 2 passengers, and 4-person tables include tickets for up to 4 passengers.
